Notes:
Walter trained with FM Alexander from the outset. He was the head of what is termed the "Carrington School" of teaching.
He smashed both of his hips in a plane crash in the War and consequently had artificial hip joints. He was approximately 85 when this was filmed.
As always, the movement is preceded by freeing the neck so that the head can go forward and up and the back can lengthen and widen.
Using his hands to make minor corrections here and there, Walter waits until the pupil is ready before stimulating him into activity.
He riminds the pupil not to "do" anything.
